You'll never tire of the views from Chalet Panorea, a welcoming chalet for eight guests in the beautiful Val d’Arly.
In winter, the shuttle bus stops 1.8km from the chalet, giving you access to the 192km of slopes in the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area. In summer, nature comes to life and the region buzzes with activity, particularly at Lake Flumet, a favourite with families, just 6km away. The Les Saisies aquatic and wellness centre is less than a 20-minute drive away, and other activities in the region include hiking, cycling, paragliding and a range of water sports.
Nearby Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe offers everything you need for your stay, including a supermarket, several traditional restaurants and equipment hire shops. For a wider choice of shops, Megève’s bustling shopping street is just a 15-minute drive away.
When you return from your outdoor activities at the end of the day, you can relax in the private sauna at Chalet Panorea.
About the property…
Chalet Panorea is a three-storey property for up to eight guests, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The ground floor is home to the sauna, which has room for four people.
The lower ground floor is almost entirely taken up by a spacious open-plan living area, made cosy by two wood-burning stoves. In the seating area, which is flooded with light from the large windows, a sofa and armchairs are arranged around a TV. The fully equipped kitchen area has a dining table where you can all enjoy meals together. A landing with two armchairs opens onto a balcony with views of Mount Charvin and the Aravis mountains.
There is a double bedroom on this floor, with an en-suite shower room and toilet, as well as access to the balcony. This leads onto a furnished terrace where you can enjoy meals with a view of the peaks.
The first floor is where you’ll find the remaining three double bedrooms, which share a shower room with a toilet and a double washbasin. There’s a comfortable sofa on the landing, which makes the most of what is probably the best view in the whole chalet.
On the practical side, Chalet Panorea has a laundry room on the upper floor with a washer and dryer. There are two covered parking spaces as well as two more spaces outside.
About the area…
Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, nestling between the Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain and Aravis mountains, is an idyllic destination at any time of year, easily accessible from Lyon and Geneva airports. Discover the traditions of Savoie and the heritage of the Val d'Arly, including its wonderful Baroque churches, its culinary heritage and its various AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) wines. Many of the region's farms welcome visitors to see how the delicious local cheeses are made.
In winter, in the shadow of Mont Vorès, which rises to an altitude of 2,070m, the village of Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is linked to the other Val d'Arly resorts (Flumet / Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, Crest-Voland / Cohennoz and Praz-sur-Arly) and to the Les Saisies / Hauteluce ski area, giving access to the 192km of pistes and 84 lifts in the Espace Diamant. Free shuttle buses run regularly between the valley and the mountain hamlets, offering a wide range of skiing and snowboarding activities.
Outside the ski season, Lac de Flumet is a popular place for families to swim and relax, with picnic tables, a children's play area, a skatepark and paddleboard lessons. It's also a great place to discover the Alpine countryside on foot or by bike, particularly along the renowned Route des Grandes Alpes.
